I’ve found a 4TB Transcend ssd220s for a decent price and I’ve been wondering how reliable is it (or Transcend’s ssds in general), but I can’t find much about it.
Any idea?
Edit: Got an answer.
“Originally was SM2258 (w/DRAM) + TLC, they may have moved to the SM2259 or equivalent now (they still list DRAM). Probably newer TLC. Can’t rule out QLC (“3D NAND”) but the performance and TBW specs look pretty good (0.3 DWPD is typical for TLC).”
Well I got some info about it if anyone’s interested.

Inquiring minds want to know what you scored it for.
About 190$
I’ve seen other ssds in that price, but I usually need to add tax + shipping to that.Holy shit that’s a good price!
Yeah? For me it’s great, but I think americans and europians can find lower prices.
You should check out camelcamelcamel for price changes on Amazon. Samsung’s 870 EVO 4tb ssd was recently sold at 170$The last time I looked at buying SSDs was over a year ago. I guess that’s why the price looked so good.
