After Israel killed seven aid workers in Gaza, the US says it has not found any incidents of Israel violating international humanitarian law in the past six months. An Al Jazeera probe concluded the World Central Kitchen vehicles were deliberately hit.

I wonder if this will get me downvoted:

Has not found evidence ≠ Has not.

I still think they’re blind, but let’s not misconstrue what was actually said.

Which is obviously a deliberate lie

To be clear though, this distinction without a difference is precisely how institutions lie, how they set up plausible deniability, and how they end up supporting things like genocide for years.

So there really is no defense of it. Getting mired in the details when the purpose of the lie is clear is to support this kind of propaganda. There is no “Well achktuallly” that can be defended on Israel and the USs ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.

You think they didn’t find any of the mountain of evidence of the active genocide their colony has been committing for the past 6 months?

I didn’t say that, I’m pointing out what they said is “evidence” and that “Has not found evidence ≠ Has not [commited…]”. Cheers.

Seems like a redundant and unnecessary point to me.

Lying and saying “We haven’t found any evidence of violation of international law” when they obviously have is the same as just asserting they haven’t broken international law.

Your comment said you think they’re “blind” when they’re clearly just deliberately lying.
