Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed that Russia's economy has surpassed all European countries and is now the largest economy on the continent in terms of purchasing power parity. According to Russian media outlet TASS, Putin made this statement during a meeting with entrepreneurs in Russia's Far East.
Purchase Power Parity only works domestically. Once you venture out in the world, things cost what they cost, no matter how little your populace makes.
They can’t import much anyway because of the sanctions, nor do they really need to anymore now that russian companies have taken over the shares of russian market of foreign companies who left, so even if you were correct about this it wouldn’t be a big issue for them.
