You are expecting dominos to do it for you. That’s literally what you are asking. They aren’t going to do that for you because they make more money if you ignore the “deals”. Even a tiny barrier is going to keep out some number of people that don’t find value in spending 30 seconds to save 25% on a $30 tab because they have the money to not even notice, which increases profitability. Their line goes up. Our system forces all these companies to worry about that line going up.
That said, they aren’t trying to hide it from you, it is the largest thing on their store page, and their people on the phone will happily tell you about it.
Someone else made the same analogy, it is just like going to a drive through and ordering a burger, fries, and drink separately and not asking for a combo. Same products, but most places it will cost you more to order them separately than to order the combo.
If you are still mad about it, you aren’t mad at Dominos, you are mad at the core of our current economic system.
Dude could have saved like $6+tax and gotten more food, and is still arguing that nothing could have been done…
Lead a horse to water and all that…
What’s mildly infuriating here is OP… People are trying to explain how you could have saved almost 1/3 of your purchase price and you just argue with them and keep shouting from your soapbox.
Unfortunately, price shopping is a part of every transaction if you are trying to get the best deal. If you aren’t invested enough to read the largest banner on the shop website to save almost 1/3 of your total, then getting the best price was clearly not a concern when you ordered. Yes, you are expected to do that yourself, just like buying anything else in the commerce system we have been using for decades. It’s real boomer/privileged energy expecting that to just be done for you.
All of them i’ve actually wanted to try out I was able to stream via the xbox game pass website in a browser. It is not a perfect experience, but it is “good enough” on a decent internet connection. I understand that if you physically have an xbox you can also run the game on that and stream it to your linux desktop for much better performance and latency, but I have not tried this myself.
That said, it is pretty rare. The only ones I’ve tried that with were fortnite (a friend wanted to play the lego game mode, but it was short lived - starved for content, lol) and starfield (it was free on game pass and I wasn’t sure I wanted to buy it).
That’s real?! TIL…
I can’t decide if that changes my answer or not… lol Seems like a cumbersome way to browse files, but maybe that’s because it isn’t how I’ve learned…
That “Unix” os from the og jurassic park movie.
I hope so at some point. Drove a friend’s tesla and fuck that thing, even the speedometer was on the fucking center tablet… Fuckin why? I don’t want to hunt for my current speed in the bloated infotainment bs.
Can someone explain like I’m 5 searXNG?
Like, I vaguely understand the terms everyone uses to explain it but I don’t really understand what it does or how it does it. I’ve used a public instance of it that the maintainers of my Linux distro provide and is set as default search on a fresh install. The results weren’t terrible but did take some time to load, which is the main reason I tend to use other engines.
If I self host it do I get better performance? What about results? Are they different on different instances?
My best guess for the hopeful outcome is the ai starts tacking on the license magic words at the end of things it says… But ultimately it feels like a digital version of sovereign citizens to me.
Dating apps if you can mentally survive them.
If not, then something like meetup app, find stuff you already like to do and go to events with like minded people. Make friends and maybe something more will come along.
Either way be patient. You can’t rush something like that.
Yea… Exactly… Thanks for providing evidence for me.
People going out and downloading random crap from shady websites clogging up their windows install with malware are not going to spend any amount of time troubleshooting why the random crap they downloaded doesn’t do anything when they double-click it. They likely won’t even know what to search for to find the solution to their “problem”.
They’d find it rather difficult to just download programs from random websites and run them, considering the file will not be marked executable by default and they can’t just “download and double-click”.
Possible they passed away suddenly and a tech-illiterate family member threw them out while cleaning out their place. Not great there was no encryption but people often overlook making plans for their eventual death, we mostly just don’t like to think about it.
wtf even is Birdeye? Our work e-mails have all been being spammed by them claiming we have bad reviews and they can help. I’ve been ignoring them mostly, but noticed the text of the reviews reek of being AI written and none of them show up on any of the review sites (that we keep track of anyway). Is this some LLM spam company basically?
I might should clarify that when using “dir” verbally no one knows what I’m saying, but maybe how I pronounce it in my head isn’t how everyone else does, lol. In text it’s plenty clear, imo.
Yup. Imo made the entire ui so much worse all in an effort to blur the line between macos and Windows.
Windows 10 already required 3rd party software for me to use it. Windows 11 was a complete no-go for me from the moment I saw it. I’m so glad my OS drive died last year, it was the push I needed to go Linux only.
Ttrpg character art via midjourney. That’s I think the only thing I’ve ever used.
meh. folder is 2 syllables, directory is like 4. I’m lazy. If someone gave me a clear one syllable alternative that others would know what I meant (even if while cringing), i’d probably start using that instead. I’ve tried just “dir”, but no one ever knows wtf i’m saying.
For those unaware, what is the significance of it being written in Haskell?
