This is the best summary I could come up with:

Toronto firefighters have made “good progress” toward extinguishing a blaze that tore through an industrial building in north Etobicoke Friday, sending thick black smoke billowing into the air and forcing nearby businesses to be evacuated.

“Considering what we had to deal with this morning, we are in a much better place now,” said Deputy Fire Chief Jim Jessop from the scene shortly before 8 a.m.

The fire started at the commercial location on Vulcan Street shortly before 1:15 a.m. and quickly escalated.

Crews arrived to find several tractor trailers on fire at the back of the business, which is listed as a chemical wholesaler.

Earlier this morning, Jessop and police had cautioned any nearby residents to shelter in place and keep their windows closed.

The Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified and will begin an investigation into the origins of the blaze once it is safe to enter the building, he said.
