As always - how much of this is what the military wants us to hear vs. what’s actually happening.

    Regardless: ugh.

On reddit it was hard to try to reason with the Ukrainian propaganda. Every time an atlrtjcle like this was published you were down voted to death and dreamed a tankie. It is hard trying to be objective on the state of war.

But if somebody knows what’s up, it’s mark Millie. U.S. Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. Mark Milley said in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday that while Ukraine’s military is well-prepared, as time goes on, “this will be a back-and-forth fight for a considerable length of time

you’re going to see a lot more of these stories as the collective west tries to find a way to back out of supporting Ukraine.

they’ve never cared about Ukraine they were (dumbly) hoping russia would topple over internally but that was never going to happen. now they have to do a turnabout saying “wow the heckin russians are more powerful than we thought”

I don’t think that’s true. I don’t believe ‘the west’ is going to try to back out of Ukraine. The war is simply going to continue to drag on, without a super clear “winner” anytime soon.
