Like, UMG own’s Drake entire label. Kendrick’s (TDE) works with UMG and others, but they’re actually independent.
So Drake is suing his bosses for supposedly helping a competitor over their own employee, and there’s no way it doesn’t come out that UMG does all this stuff for Drake and he still lost
He probably wants to apply enough legal pressure to make the Superbowl request that Kendrick doesn’t perform Not Like Us
It will have the opposite effect, though. Part of me thinks someone (not a friend) convinced Drake to do all this just to fuck with him.
It might be a fun discovery phase.
