    This is pretty funny, especially given how the US has struggled to meaningfully project power in the last year. I guess in a profit-based war machine delays and cost overruns are inevitable though since everyone in the supply chain is just trying to steal as much as they can for themselves.

    They still have Virginia-class submarines so they’ll live.

    You know who’s reaaaaally pissed about this? The Australians. They fucked the French over by surprise-canceling their order for custom designed diesel submarines, and now the US Navy gets first dibs on the output of the struggling Virginia-class submarine manufacturers so Australia isn’t sure they’ll get anything at all.

      LOL, maybe if we were able to design a sub that actually worked properly we wouldn’t have to go crying to other countries to buy their subs.
