However, like PlayStation Plus, you’ll only have access to those games that you claim as long as you’re subscribed to the service.
Not a fan of these subscription services that don’t let you keep what you’ve already claimed. I would vastly prefer a subscription service that allows access to discounted games or something, and then if you cancel you still can access whatever games you have bought. But, then again, I’m a known games packrat - maybe for the duration of time one might reasonably use the Quest, this shakes out to still be valuable? How often do regular users go back to old games?
VR tends to have a harsh drop-off tbh, I think the stat is like most people stop using their quest after the first 4 months? this might help bring people back now and then. as far as going back to old games…for me I’ll boot up beat saber and until you fall, but as like, chill cardio when I don’t wanna go too hard that day lol
I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of them, but I don’t mind them. If there’s a game from that list that I really, really want to keep playing, I can just buy that game. In the mean time, I got to enjoy all the other games that were fun for just a short time.
I definitely prefer XB Game Pass instead, though, where the whole catalog is available no matter when you started and whether or not you clicked a button in time.
Microsoft’s Gamepass gives you a discounted price on games, so if you see that something is going to fall out of their subscription catalog you can purchase it for less. It’s only like 20% off but it’s nice that they offer it.
yeah i do like this! i’ve used it before.

i’m curious to see how successful this is. i feel like I already own every popular / high-quality VR game cause…you know, there aren’t many. For example I already have Pistol Whip and the Golf game. But I guess if you’re new to VR or the Quest this might be a good deal.
